After complaints of headaches, weakness, stress, balance, and eye problems by the staff, four libraries in Paris have turned off their wireless Internet access. Library workers in the U.S. and Canada have also expressed concern about wireless networks. The director of the library at Southwestern College in Santa Fe left her job last year because of insomnia which she attributes to the wireless network in the library, and the president of Lakehead University in Ontario has prohibited his university from installing a wireless network on campus because of concerns over the health of the students. I have heard about the dangers of living near power lines for years and the dangers of constant cell phone use so this doesn't really surprise me.
