The Last Supper

Cameron and I shared our last dinner Wednesday night. We went to our favorite restaurant Radical Eats and were joined by two friends, Elizabeth and Ashleigh. The food was of course wonderful. We shared the vegan nachos. I ordered the Bahn Mi Tacos (tofu) and Cameron ordered the Wild Mushroom Tacos with kimchi, peanuts and Thai chiles. We shared these two plates also.




We wanted to steal these salt and pepper shakers.

I'm really sad that Cameron has left for New York but am looking forward to visiting him there in December. When I turned the corner in my apartment complex yesterday and didn't see his bike it really struck me that he was gone for good. My new roommate Jake is moving in Monday night.
This is probably my last food blog for awhile because I'm not planning to eat out any time soon and of course I've lost my photographer.

I had the sweet potato gnocchi again. Everything was vegan and delicious of course. We are planning to finish off the chocolate cake tonight with coffee.

Cameron and I had a wonderful 100% vegan meal at Radical Eats on Saturday night. We shared an appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower with vegan ranch dressing. I had a falafel burger with sweet potato fries and Cameron had sweet potato gnocchi. For desert we shared a chipotle chocolate cake. The cake was better than any non vegan chocolate cake I've eaten. I am trying to be 100% vegan and Cameron is also wanting to be vegan. If we could eat like this every night it would be easy.

Radical Eats

Cameron and I went to Radical Eats last night. We shared the jalapeno poppers with vegan cream cheese and a yummy dipping sauce. I had the bahn mi tacos with tofu and sprouts and Cameron had the ginormous falafel burger with a kale avocado salad on the side. The weather has been wonderful in Houston so we sat outside on the patio. After our wonderful vegan meal we decided to go to the Chocolate Bar where we shared a slice of FLANtastic Cheesecake with coffee. Of all the restaurants in Houston I have to say Radical Eats is probably my favorite. There are so many vegetarian and vegan options and everything I have ever eaten there is really good. The waitstaff is always very friendly and helpful too. So glad they moved from their old location on Fulton to Montrose.

Dinner and a Play

On Friday my friend Alice and I went to Radical Eats. I had a fried green tomato sandwich and sweet potato fries. My friend had a beet mushroom onion dish. I forgot to bring my camera (I'm still not used to this all food has to be photographed thing) but the waiter was nice enough to take these pictures and email them to me. After dinner we went to Rice and saw a student production of Little Shop of Horrors.

Radical Eats

Here are a few pictures from my new favorite restaurant, Radical Eats. It started as a vegan restaurant in EaDo but moved to Montrose a few months ago and added non vegan items to the menu. Cameron photographs all of his food and took these beautiful pictures of the meal we shared.
